Thanks to the generosity of NAF and the efforts of Dr. Lupe Diaz, Executive Director, Department of Career and Technical Education · Miami-Dade County Public Schools, students from American High’s Academy of Information Technology attended the eMerge Americas Tech Conference https://emergeamericas.com/ at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The event hosted dozens of IT Venders who displayed and demonstrated what their companies do and provided our students with the opportunity to witness innovations in technology and the business of IT, as well as meet representatives of college and potential future employers. Guest speakers included Serena Williams, Armando “Pit Bull” Perez, as well as dozens of leaders from the world of Tech. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for our students.
