The Academy of Hospitality & Tourism (AOHT) prepares students to chart career paths in one of the management to sports, entertainment, and event management, and includes the study of geography, economics, and world culture. Students enrolled in the academy will select a specific field of study with a targeted focus. The program revolves around hands-on projects that connect classrooms learning to career experiences. Site visits to local businesses, guest lectures with industry professionals, job shadowing, internships, and a curriculum that has been developed in accordance with industry standards will all be part of the academy experience. HISTORY AND IMPACT – The Academy of Hospitality & Tourism (AOHT) was launched in 1987 with support from Marriott International and the American Express Foundation in New York City and Miami.
