Angel MarcheseAngel Marchese

Mr. Angel Marchese heads the Choral Program at Robert Morgan High School. He serves as VPA Department Chair and as District 16 Chair Elect for Florida Vocal Association (FVA). He has served as guest conductor for the Miami-Dade Superintendent Honor Choir and has also served as Treasurer of the Dade County Music Educators’ Association. Marchese’s students have performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, National Honor Choir, Regional Honor Choir, State Honor Choir, All State Chorus and Superintendent Honor Choir. His choruses have been selected to perform at the Magnet Schools of America National Convention, Superintendent’s Opening of Schools, and various Town Hall meetings. Marchese’s choirs have been named “Choir of Distinction” by the State of Florida and have earned Superior ratings at the State level every year since joining Robert Morgan. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including FVA, American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA), and National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Mr. Marchese’s professional singing career includes performances with Florida Grand Opera, Miami Lyric Opera, Barcelona Opera Studio (Spain), Toledo Opera (OH), Regina Opera (NY), Opera Company of Brooklyn (NY), Village Light Opera (NY). As a concert soloist, his credits include the Greater Miami Youth Symphony, La Rioja Zarzuela Festival (Spain), Opera Naples (FL), Florida Chamber Orchestra, Symphony of the Americas, Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra and Choral Symphony Society (NY). Marchese holds a Masters of Music in Choral Conducting from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Miami.

Tiffany Merritt-Brown

Tiffany Merritt-Brown, a native of Miami, Florida, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.In 2013, she was awarded a full scholarship to complete her dance degree at UW-Madison after transferring from Miami Dade’s Honors College. While at Miami Dade, Tiffany danced under the direction of Michelle Grant-Murray.  Described by Isthmus Magazine as “a coolly elegant performer and choreographer that reveals keen intelligence and maturity” Tiffany has performed in works by Kate Corby, Marlene Skog, Chris Walker and Jin-Wen Yu at the UW. She has also worked with the professional dance company Urban Bush Women, as well as choreographers such as Heidi Latsky, Rob Kistos, Beth Gill, Joanna Kotze, Julie Mayo, T-Lang, Elizabeth Corbett, Nia Love. and Charles O. Anderson. Tiffany has presented her work at the American College Dance Association Conferences, informally at the American Dance Festival, the Detroit Dance City Festival, internationally at the WDA-A (World Dance Alliance-Americas Conference) in Puebla, Mexico and at Tanara Public School in Chepo, Panama. Tiffany’s choreography has been praised for its “clear vision, smart craftsmanship [and] fierce performance…[it] is both structurally and choreographically satisfying.” Merritt-Brown is the recipient of the 2016 Virginia Horne Henry Fund for Women’s Physical Education, the Anna Nassif Award, and the Jin-Wen Yu Award..Recently, she was awarded the 2018 American Dance Festival Leadership Scholarship Award which is funded by the Adrienne Arsht Center and granted to a Miami-based dancer. In addition to being the Director of the Robert Morgan Dance Program, she is a company member with Olujimi Dance Theater, a freelance choreographer, and grant writer.


Mrs. Yonettsy BlancoMrs. Yonettsy Blanco was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She is a product of the Miami Dade County Public School System part of the drama magnet since adolescents being taught and mentored by Tim McNamara, Madelin Marchant, Ana Montoya then at Coral Reef Senior high with Mrs. Ana Mederos-Blanco and James Puig. She is part of the International Thespians Honor Society. She has competed in events such as One Acts, Individual Events, and for the Miami Dade County Youth Fair for Theatre. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre with a minor in Education from Florida International University. She was lucky enough to have studied with some incredible professors at FIU. She also participated in a study abroad program in Stratford-upon-Avon, England where she studied a deep analysis of Shakespeare with guidance from Mr. Phillip Church. Mrs. Blanco has taught Drama for MDCPS at Sunset Elementary, West Miami Middle, and Robert Russa Moton Elementary. During her time at these schools she put on numerous shows including You’re a good man, Charlie Brown, High school musical, Alice in wonderland, and Happily ever after. She has also directed Death of a Salesman written by Arthur Miller in the black box theatre at Florida International University and has participated as a guest choreographer for Bridge Prep Academy’s Musical of Oliver. Mrs. Blanco has also worked professionally with the GableStage front of house theatre and as Education Coordinator for Actor’s Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre.  One of her fondest experiences was working with the Box office and Arts administrative team from the Texas Shakespeare Festival in Kilgore, Texas. She has also acted in numerous musicals and plays. Some of her most memorable performances were Prudence from Beyond Therapy, Mama Rose from Gypsy, and Amneris from Aida, for which she received an award for “Best Actress”. Mrs. Blanco also won first place for her special effects makeup at the 24 Hour Film Festival.
